The Mod:

Extend the stock axle breather tubes.

What it does:

Adds a little more protection from getting water into your axles

Use 5/16" gas line for the hose. I also got new end caps and hardware for the mounting:

The stock front breather hose ended just behind the driver side shock - at tire height, but a little exposed to the elements:

I extended the hose up into the engine compartment next to the brake master cylinder and zip tied it to the wall - a little higher than the stock position and removed from the elements (the out of focus white part on the black hose):

The stock rear breather hose ended just behind the passenger side rear tire above the frame - a little low and exposed to the elements:

I extended the hose up into the boxed area for the rear lights - much higher than the tire and removed from the elements. Drill a hole and clamp the hose in place:
